Val Dore lakes is a complex of five mature tree and reed-lined gravel pits located in northern France and is just 1 hour away from Boulogne, 30 minutes from Dieppe and 75 minutes from Calais or le Havre. The lakes, situated in the Vallée de la Bresle, are well established, being over 50 years old.
The banks are lined with trees and the average depth is 9 to 12 feet with undulating bottoms free of obstacles.

Carp: our speciality
25 years ago, Val Dore Lakes fishery was created specifically for carp fishing. These are now 6 lakes in which today swim a truly exceptional livestock. The density of carp is impressive and very large fishes are very numerous. They all get a high average weight fish : 32 lb. Lake 1 and 2 have in addition large catfish in them.
The density of carp is impressive, and there are many very large specimens. They are all stocked in the same way.

Lakes features
Clean with undulating bottoms, lined with trees and rich in fish stock.
Ground
Gravel pits dug over 50 years ago, very clean and free of obstacles. Undulating bottom with areas of light silt in some places.
Riverbanks
Tree-lined banks creating a very natural and picturesque setting. Spacious pegs, all accessible by car or van. (motorhome not accepted)
Depth
Average depth of 3 to 4 metres with undulating bottoms. Shallow areas composed of gravel that optimise the presentation of rigs.
Fish density
Impressive density with up to 100 carps per hectare or 30 carps per acre. All lakes stocked similar for exceptional fishing.
